Old, stone wall of the Presidio. I used this for inspiration of the wall Lark and Beck hide behind as kids.

An old tower on the Presidio wall. In Larkstorm, I used this as a guard tower between the safe zone and the Sensitives.

I’m a Valentine’s Day Scrooge. Not my favorite holiday. Plus, my son is home sick again today which puts a damper on my mood. He’s doing better, not well enough to send to school, but well enough to torture his older brother. So that’s progress, right?

Anyway, no matter how much I dislike VD, I can at least look like love is in the air.

The outfit:

Gap Watercolor strapless maxi dress. I bought this last summer but because of my illness, it’s too big for me now. I still love it and just cinch it tighter and pray it doesn’t slip off :D

Ring - random stretchy band flower that a friend gave me. The petals are tiny hearts, so it seemed appropriate.

Earrings - Metal and navy faux gemstone chandeliers. No idea what brand - they’re old.

Schedule:

7:50am - Wake up. I went to bed at 1:30am because I fell into a writing rhythm and didn’t want to stop.

9am - 12pm - Home school both boys. Boy #1 has a few tests today, so I can catch up on email, write blog posts, etc. during that time.

12-12:30 - Lunch and figure out dinner.

12:30 - 2:30 - Write

2:45 - Pick boy #3 up from school

3:00 - 4:30 - Play with the boys, snacks, and prep dinner.

5:15 - drop boy #1 off at basketball practice.

5:45 - dinner

6:45 - Pick Boy #1 up from basketball

7:00 - Younger boys in bed, feed #1 and get him in bed by 7:30.

8 - 11:30  - Write.
